Education

  • Hill holds a medical degree from the University of Alberta.

Political Experience

  • Town councillor Okotoks from 1974 to 77.

  • Hill served as the director of the board for the Reform Party's Macleod Constituency Association in 1990 and became a spokesman for the party's Speakers bureau in 1991. 

  • Elected as a Reform MP in 1993.

  • Served as health critic from 1993 to 99.

  • Named Official Opposition critic for Intergovernmental Affairs and Official Languages in 1999. 

Professional experience

  • Beginning in 1968, Dr. Hill interned and later worked as an emergency physician at Holy Cross Hospital. 

  • Started private practice in Oktokos in 1970. 

  • Named chief of staff for High River Hospital in 1986.
